The startup Wondermags was the winner of this first contest, organized in collaboration with Luxinnovation, the National Agency for Innovation and Research, and its ICT Cluster.
The event took place at Utopolis and gave 17 Luxembourg startups the opportunity to present their company in front of a jury from Docler Holding's management. The event also gathered around 100 people from the investment, ICT and startup scenes from Luxembourg.

The winner of the third consecutive Pitch Your Startup, Aiva Technologies, was announced during the ICTSpring Gala dinner. The company was chosen out of the 18 ICT startups pitching during the day.
Aiva is an Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) capable of composing emotional music. Aiva has been learning the art of music composition by reading through a large collection of music partitions, written by the greatest composers in order to create a mathematical model representation of what music is.
Out of a total of 160 applications from 25 different countries, the jury selected 18 ICT startups, based on the criteria of innovation, uniqueness, creativity and growth potential. This year, the prizes were equivalent to a total amount of 100,000 €.
Pitch Your Startup has evolved for its fifth edition, with the introduction of 4 categories, and a special Luxembourg-based startup Prize. The winners were announced on May 21st, 2019 during the ICT Spring Gala Dinner. They were chosen from among 75 startups who had been called to present their projects throughout the day, each with their own unique ideas and solutions.
The startup Apla won the biggest overall prize from Docler Holding. Apla is a full-service blockchain technology company that enables governments and businesses to work faster, safer and with greater impact. Apla develops solutions based on its own, proprietary blockchain platform. Voting system, land registries, financial services, medical records, IP rights distribution, donation and other social good market places, this is a short list of proven use cases of the Apla’s blockchain protocol.
Out of a total of 347 applications from 49 different countries - setting a new record for the number of entries - the juries chose 75 startups that met their strict criteria of innovation, creativity and potential growth.
